According to a Cadbury press release, English Doodle Annie Rose from Ohio was chosen the competition’s winner on March 29, Therapy Dog .
The winner, Annie Rose, received $5000 in prize money, her own Cadbury Clucking Bunny commercial, and, of course, bragging rights as the “bunny” that received the most votes.
The previous winners of the Cadbury Bunny Tryouts were Betty the Tree Frog (2019), Lieutenant Dan the two-legged coonhound (2020), and Henri the English Bulldog (2019). (2021).
Given the events of the previous two years, it is sense that we would be celebrating a dog who brought Ohio nursing home patients so much joy.
Covid-19
When the COVID-19 regulations made it impossible for Annie Rose to enter the facilities as she had in the past, she didn’t let it stop her. Instead, she shifted the site of her trips and greeted the residents via their windows.
We are so grateful to everyone who voted for Annie Rose and helped make her the next Cadbury Bunny, especially her doodle relatives and friends who went above and beyond, said Annie Rose’s proud owner Lori R.
“Just like she has done for them as a therapy dog for years, our neighborhood rallied together to support her. We are anxious to give Annie Rose the distinctive Cadbury Bunny ears, despite the fact that we are all still in shock over the news.
Along with the honors and prizes she has already received, Annie Rose was able to generate money for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Cadbury committed a total of $20,000, giving $5,000 as part of the challenge and an additional $5,000 for every 5,000 votes obtained.
In a press release issued by Cadbury, brand manager Teal Liu stated: “Thank you very much to all of the outstanding applicants who made selecting the top 10 this year so challenging.
Also, many congrats to Annie Rose, the newest Cadbury Bunny. This year’s finalists, which featured cats, dogs, sugar gliders, and hedgehogs, didn’t lack for sweetness or creativity.
Pet owners are urged to begin 2019 planning even if the 2022 competition is currently over. This year’s rabbit ears will probably be cheaper after Easter, or you can make your own to suit your pet’s needs. For further information, see the Cadbury Bunny Tryouts 2022 Contest Official Rules.
